About

Crawford Fire Protection District

The Crawford Fire Protection District is an all-volunteer organization that spans 165 square miles, serving parts of Delta, Montrose, and Gunnison counties, nestled in the rugged foothills of the Gunnison Range in Colorado's Rocky Mountains. Each year, the district responds to between 60 and 110 calls, addressing a range of incidents including structure fires, wildland fires, vehicle fires, motor vehicle accidents, and rescue operations such as ice rescues.

Crawford Fire District is wholly committed to the ongoing development of its firefighters and the services it provides. Their mission is to ensure the safety of both their firefighters and community members while delivering effective fire suppression, property conservation, and fire prevention throughout the district. Through dedication, extensive training, and collaboration with mutual aid departments, they strive to achieve their goals and enhance community safety.
